The national governing body for badminton in Seychelles. Member of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and the Badminton Confederation of Africa (BCA). Coordinates all badminton activity in Seychelles including national team preparation, grassroots development through the BWF Shuttle Time programme, school outreach, and community badminton. The SBA has overseen Seychelles' participation in international competitions including the African Badminton Championships (winners of the mixed team event in 2007), the Sudirman Cup (2011, 2015), and the Commonwealth Games. Seychelles won the African Badminton Championships mixed team event in 2007 and were runners-up in 2009. The national team participated in the Sudirman Cup in 2011 and 2015 (group stage). Seychelles has competed in badminton at the African Games since 2003, one of the first six nations to participate. The team also participated in the Commonwealth Games badminton events. BWF ranking: 130 (as of April 2024). Highest ranking: 44 (April 2012).
