Club for Physical Education and Sport Atlet is based in Pervomay, Plovdiv province. Chaired by Angel Papazov, the club provides badminton training for the local community The club is affiliated with the Bulgarian Badminton Federation (Българска Федерация Бадминтон / БФБ), which was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Sofia. The federation organizes national team championships, individual state championships, and youth competitions across various age groups. Bulgaria has a proud badminton tradition with notable players including Petya Nedelcheva, Stefani and Gabriela Stoevi, and Diana Koleva.
