Chlef Badminton Club (نادي الشلف للريشة الطائرة)

The Chlef Badminton Club is based in Chlef, the birthplace of Algerian badminton. Badminton was first played in Algeria in the 1990s in Chlef, making this club one of the oldest and most historically significant in the country. The club trains at the Salle Omnisports de Chlef and participates in provincial and national competitions. Chlef is the capital of Chlef Province, located in north-central Algeria along the Chelif River. The club has been instrumental in developing many of Algeria's national team players and continues to serve as a training ground for young talent in the region.
